When the Amazon Echo shows pulsating green light, it means there is an incoming call. If enabled, Alexa can also inform you there is a call. You can answer the call using the app or by giving Alexa command and saying something like “Alexa, answer the call.”

When you pick up the call, the green light will no longer pulsate. It will spin around. While you may find this strange, it is a pretty helpful feature. The main idea of the spinning green light is to notify other people around the household that the Echo dot is currently in use.

You may also notice your Echo blinking green. If you see that, it means that you have some messages that are waiting or some shipment updates. When there is a blinking green light, all you need to do is tell Alexa to read your messages. The light will then stop.

You can adjust the notifications by opening Alexa app on your mobile device. Next, tap More > Settings > Notifications. Turn off the ones you don’t need.
